Overview

Commissionaires Great Lakes offers an immediate opportunity for a versatile, highly motivated Site Manager with the ability to lead, train and manage the various site locations at Base Borden. We are looking for an experienced individual with excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills, strong working knowledge of computer systems, a positive attitude and the ability to provide excellent customer service, security and protection for our client’s site. As a front line representative of our company and client’s sites you must be highly reliable, able to effectively lead and coach a team of 100+ Commissionaires, work well under pressure and have the ability to multi task.

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Providing training, feedback, coaching and mentoring to security team members
  • Following the performance management process as required
  • Ensuring the accuracy and application of the post orders is adhered to.
  • Maintaining positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors, and clients
  • Reviewing security team reports
  • Completing schedules, time sheets and other administrative paperwork
  • Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and deportment
  • Business Development with initial discussions with clients to determine their needs
  • Other duties as may be required by the client or Director of Government Services

Required Education, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must be a CF Veteran
  • Must have Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
  • Excellent Computer skills including MS Office
  • Excellent phone etiquette
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills are essential
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Successful applicant must complete Corps Supervisor training & Health and Safety Certification within the first year
  • Willing to travel to various site locations as required
