POSITION:  Master Warrant Officer – Security Operations Centre Assistant Supervisor

LOCATION:  Security Operations Centre – 737 Arlington Park Place

HOURS OF WORK: 

  • Monday- Friday 11:00hrs to 19:00hrs
  • On-call as required
  • May vary based on business needs.

RATE OF PAY:  $ 21.75 to $23.00 per hour – wage based on experience and qualifications of hired individual

EFFECTIVE:  Immediately

JOB SUMMARY:    
SOC Office administrator and assistant to the SOC manager. Ensure compliance to SOC procedures and staff training.  Daily admin work duties along with record keeping

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Must possess a valid class G drivers’ license and have a clear driver’s abstract (3-year),
  • Must be able to complete a vulnerable sector check, to conduct crossing guard duties as required,
  • Must process excellent leadership, management, and interpersonal skills
  • Must have excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Must have excellent team building skills
  • Must possess excellent computer skills, including experience with specialized secure networks and all Microsoft products i.e., Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook, and
  • Must possess experience with online scheduling apps (Sling).
  • Must have supervisory experience
  • Must have customer service experience
  • Must have knowledge of ISO requirements
  • Would be considered an asset: Post secondary diploma / degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • G Driver’s License
  • Clean Drivers abstract
  • Vulnerable sector check

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must complete Cash pick ups for various clients
  • Must deliver and pick up equipment between districts when directed.
  • Must pass on changes to procedures to SOC Staff and create memos when needed
  • Must assist the SOC Supervisor in overseeing Fleet maintenance.
  • Must oversee patrols by making sure they are completed by reading staff reports.
  • Must ensure all employee paperwork is filled out properly this includes reports, alarms, ABMs + more.
  • Must maintain CCTV network and deal with issues related to clients.
  • Must maintain the lone worker program as well as the patrol schedule
  • Must ensure clients are attended to and the manager is aware of any issues.
  • Must communicate with new clients and help develop new business for the SOC.
  • Must perform site visits when needed, ensure a safe work environment out and inside the SOC.
  • Must prepare schedules and move staff and when necessary, fill vacant shifts when needed.
  • Must perform all the duties of the SOC driver and Call-op when needed.
  • Must conduct all training of new SOC personnel.
  • Must review new employees and discuss staff performance with the SOC manager.
  • Must conduct By-law for various clients as required
  • Must deal with SOC staff complaints and issue reprimands when required.
  • Must be able to be able to answer District Cellphone after-hours on rotation.
  • Must complete any other duties requested by SOC Supervisor.
  • Must prepare and complete Payroll submissions bi-weekly and ensure payroll is submitted by-weekly
  • Must prepare and send receipts and other invoices to finance.
  • Must create and issue site kits when required.
  • Must train new employes on the use and care of PPE.
  • Assisting the Security Operations Supervisor with scheduling employee with the scheduling software.
  • Must train new hires on the use of their personal scheduling application.
  • Must complete any other duties that may be required by the SOC Supervisor or Staff member from headquarters
  • Must assume the Security Operations duties and responsibilities in the absence of the SOC Supervisor and report to the Director of Operations.

REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE:    

Reliability (5 years minimum Canadian residency)

All security work is 24/7 up to 40 hours per week and overtime is possible.
