Our employees work in a variety of roles such as General Security, Alarm Response, Concierge and Support to Law Enforcement, and Support to Government.

As part of our ever-expanding work force, we are looking for a part-time Parking Enforcement Officer that would be available to work from Monday to Friday from 8am-4pm.

Job Description

Commissionaires are responsible to carry out the duties of a Parking Bylaw Enforcement Officer for assigned routes in the City of Red Deer in accordance with the City of Red Deer Standard Operating Procedures for City Bylaw Enforcement Personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Patrol assigned routes and issue tickets
  •  Chalk tires to identify overtime parking and issue tickets in violation
  •  Parking coin collection and complete banking deposit paperwork as 


  •  Review evidence and attend court as required for issued violations
  •  Report unserviceable meters and dispensing machines to Supervisor
  •  Troubleshoot handheld devices and printers
  •  Assist City Hall in a crisis/emergency
  •  Other related duties directed by Supervisor

       Knowledge Requirements

  •    Dealing with Difficult People (course offered by Corps)- Strongly


  •    Valid Emergency First Aid Certificate
  •    Parking Bylaw Enforcement Qualified

Skills Requirements

  •  Ability to operate independently in a wide variety of situations
  •  Keeping accurate records
  •  Effective communication skills: English essential
  •  Level-headed having the ability to de-escalate situations

Working Conditions

  • Monday to Friday
  • All Patrols are outdoors
