Team Supervisor – NBCC St. Andrews Campus Security

Commissionaires NB&PEI is looking to hire a mature and responsible team supervisor for a security position at the St Andrews NBCC campus to work in a full-time position.

THE ROLE

The Team Supervisor is responsible for on-site, daily operations and staffing to meet operational requirements for security services at the NBCC facility. The Supervisor enhances college campus safety and security by providing a uniformed presence throughout the facilities to enforce established policies and practices by performing a combination of static and roving preventative patrols.

QUALIFICATIONS

Certifications

  • Post-secondary education in Corrections or Police Foundations or Law Enforcement/Policing, and/or Basic Military Officer Qualification (BMOQ) training and Development Period (DP2) training in a relevant field
  • Clean Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks and the ability to obtain required security clearances
  • Must have and maintain a satisfactory Canadian Police Information Center (CPIC) record
  • Class 5 Driver’s License is required
  • Workplace Standard First Aid CPR-C & AED
  • Proficient in the use of computers, technology, and understanding of building access control systems
  • Non-violent crisis intervention
  • Suicide intervention

  • Physical fitness and mental focus to perform rounds and QR checks in all types of environmental conditions
  • Strong communication and customer service experience
  • Accurate documentation and writing skills to complete logs and reports
  • Maintain a high level of physical fitness and ability to complete the PARE test or have successfully completed it within the past year

  • Respond and assist in emergency situations

Occasional travel to other NBCC campuses may be required.
