Commissionaires NB&PEI Division is looking to hire a mature and responsible team member in Oromocto as a Range Patroller.

The Role

The 5 CDSB Range Patroller is responsible to:

  • Enforce range standing orders
  • Conduct patrols in the training area
  • Respond to calls and emergencies
  • Ensure all policies are applied and followed
  • Assist in range clearance procedures

We are seeking candidates with:

  • Military experience and/or familiarity with training area on a Canadian Forces Base
  • Good knowledge of weapons systems template, training area
  • React quickly and appropriately in shifting situations
  • Have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts (day, evening, overnight – including weekends and holidays)
  • The ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
  • Strong communication and dispute resolution skills

The successful candidate must:

  • Demonstrate sound judgement and have the ability to closely follow instructions
  • React quickly and appropriately in shifting situations
  • Possess a valid drivers’ license – able to obtain DND 404s
  • Possess computer skills in MS Office Suite
