The Canadian Corps of Commissionaires – Red Deer Office is now seeking people with a desire to provide one of our premium clients with excellent service as a detention guard working within the RCMP Detachment in Red Deer. There will be several positions available: part-time on-call guards to augment various additional requirements, i.e. hospital watch, suicide watch. It is anticipated that a full-time opportunity may result from experience gained as a part-time guard.

Detention guards monitor and safeguard persons in custody to ensure their security and well-being. Typical duties include observing and performing frequent checks for irregularity, recording activities, assisting RCMP members, organizing meals and maintaining the cleanliness of the cells.
- Successfully complete an RCMP security clearance (Approximately 3 months)
- Must hold valid Alberta Security Services License
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently or within a team
- Very good verbal and written communication abilities
- Current Emergency or Standard First Aid
- Former RCMP/Military experience (Strong Asset)
