Five Students from Commissionaire Families Honoured with Educational Awards

Commissionaires Nova Scotia’s Board of Governors awarded five educational awards to family members of serving commissionaires. Each year, these awards are presented to students who demonstrate academic excellence, dedication, and a commitment to making a difference in their communities.

This year, five deserving students received awards presented by CNS Board member, Lieutenant Colonel (Ret’d) Anne Espenant, to help further their post-secondary studies in schools across the Maritimes:

The CNS Educational Awards were first presented in 2002. Since then, the Board has awarded more than $155,000 in funding to help commissionaires and their families pursue higher education. Over the years, recipients have gone on to build successful careers in diverse fields, including medicine, law, business, education, nursing, engineering, and more.

The program continues to demonstrate the organization’s commitment to supporting not only commissionaires themselves but also their families, helping them reach their educational goals and inspiring future generations of leaders, caregivers, and innovators.

Commissionaires Nova Scotia congratulates this year’s recipients and wishes them every success in their studies. Their dedication and ambition reflect the very values that define our organization: service, integrity, and community.
