Commissionaires NB & PEI Honour Centennial Recognition Award Recipients in Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick

Charlottetown, PEI & Fredericton, NB —September 2025 — As part of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires’ Centennial year, Commissionaires NB & PEI proudly hosted two milestone ceremonies celebrating 100 years of service and recognizing the exceptional dedication of Commissionaires across the region.

On September 19, 2025, Government House in Charlottetown, PEI, graciously hosted the Centennial Recognition Awards Ceremony with Their Honours, the Honourable Dr. Wassim Salamoun, Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island, and Her Honour, Marie Salamoun-Dunne. Four days later, on September 23, 2025, a second ceremony was held at Government House in Fredericton, NB, with Her Honour, the Honourable Louise Imbeault, Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick.

Together, these events honoured the integrity, professionalism, and service of Commissionaires who exemplify the very best of our organization.

Honouring Service Across the Region

Earlier this year, clients and colleagues were invited to nominate individuals whose work makes a lasting difference. The recipients were selected for their outstanding professionalism, leadership, and dedication to the community. A Century of Service

“One hundred years ago, the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires was established to provide meaningful employment for former members of the Canadian Armed Forces, the RCMP, and public service personnel,” said Derrick Stanford, CEO of Commissionaires NB & PEI. “Today, our division numbers over 1,000 Commissionaires across New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. These award recipients represent the strength, professionalism, and values that continue to define us a century later.”
Commissionaires NB & PEI extend heartfelt gratitude to Her Honour Lieutenant Governor Imbeault and to Their Honours Lieutenant Governor Salamoun and Her Honour Marie Salamoun-Dunne for hosting these historic events, as well as to our clients, families, and guests for joining in this Centennial celebration.
