Commissionaires Nova Scotia (CNS) has a long and proud history of providing security services across Nova Scotia. In Cape Breton alone, over 200 commissionaires serve 25 long and short term sites.
The CNS Cape Breton District Office moved into its new location from its previous George Street office to better serve clients and commissionaires. While the move took place late last year, the renovated facility is now ready to be shown off!
Cdr Richard Oland (Ret’d), Chair of CNS Board of Governors, hosted staff, commissionaires and clients at Friday’s event. He stated, “Our goal is to create more business and employment opportunities in our Cape Breton District; ultimately progressing our core mandate, which is to employ veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP and other qualified Nova Scotians.”
The new office features enhanced Identification Services (passport photos, fingerprinting, criminal record checks, record suspension & US waiver services), along with a wide range of security services, such as Home & Business Watch, guarding, investigations, threat risk assessments, and newly added Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) drone services.
Cmdre Bruce Belliveau (Ret’d), CEO of CNS, said, “We view this move as a positive step in expanding our service offerings such as ID services. Our District Manager, Mike Higgs, is dedicated to growing our presence in this region and building meaningful relationships in the local business community.” Feel free to visit the new office and meet Mr. Higgs and the office staff!
