Commissionaires Secures Canadian Museum for Human Rights

Commissionaires Manitoba is now providing security guard services for The Canadian Museum for Human Rights. Commissionaires, who are trained beyond the Manitoba province security training level requirement, will fill nine permanent security positions.

“Our commissionaires have been trained to meet the demands of this unique site, including acquiring certification to become central station operators for the security operations centre (SOC);” says CEO Tom Reimer.  The SOC hosts state-of-the-art security equipment, and will have someone there 24/7.

Beyond monitoring cameras and alarms, access control, monitoring the loading dock, and patrolling the premises, there will be host guards as well. These host guards are bilingual and are trained in customer service. These guards will help guide the public through the various exhibits and interactive areas of the museum.
