Donna Harding Joins CNS Board of Governors

Commissionaires Nova Scotia, the province’s premier provider of security and background screening services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Lieutenant Commander (Ret’d) Donna Harding to its Board of Governors.

Donna served in the Canadian Navy for 24 years, in both the regular and reserve forces. She was Commanding Officer of MAROPSGRU 5 and held a variety of logistic positions at sea and ashore.

A real estate agent for more than 20 years, Donna is a Broker and Licensed Partner for Engel & Völkers Nova Scotia. She manages seven locations and oversees roughly 100 advisors/staff working throughout Nova Scotia.

Donna holds an instructor position on the Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC) faculty, with FRI and CIPS designations. She has a Bachelor of Political Science from the Royal Military College of Canada.

Donna is active in numerous community charities. In addition to her work with CNS, she serves on the Boards of CUA, the Halifax Chamber of Commerce, A Home for Everyone, and REIC – Atlantic Chapter.

The CNS Board of Governors, chaired by Chief Superintendent (Ret’d) Tom W. Bennett, consists of 16 volunteers who devote time to providing strategic direction for the organization and supporting its social mandate.

This is an exciting time for the Board as it will work with CNS Leadership later this year to develop the organization’s next strategic plan. Representatives from CNS’s many stakeholder groups will be consulted to help inform the plan.
