It’s never too late to reward a job well done

The International Association of Business Communications (IABC) Canada, Ottawa Chapter, held its final event of the season last night. The event included an award ceremony during which Thornley Fallis received a Silver Leaf award for its work on the Commissionaires’ 2015 Remembrance Day campaign.

The 2015 Remembrance Day campaign was multi-dimensional. It included a national survey, as well as video and infographic elements. The overarching idea behind the campaign was to shed light on both Canada’s modern veteran and the older veterans we typically honour on Remembrance Day.

Terry Fallis, Vice Chair of Thornley Fallis Communications Inc. told us “It was certainly rewarding to be involved in a program that illuminates the challenges our modern veterans face when making the transition from military life to a second civilian career.”

“Commissionaires is an extraordinary organization that deserves more credit for the work [they've] done to support veterans for so many decades,” Terry added. “We've been thrilled to work with Commissionaires on this and other projects for the last 10 years or so.”

The IABC Canada Silver Leaf Award is Canada’s premiere professional awards program celebrating excellence in business communication. This achievement does not go unnoticed and is well-deserved by everyone involved.

Congratulations to all involved. And, thank you for the consistent hard work and dedication telling our story.
