Her Honour the Honourable Vaughn Solomon Schofield presented the Lieutenant Governor’s Military Service Pin to 59 members of Commissionaires South Saskatchewan on March 15, 2014 at the Royal United Services Institute of Regina
“I created the Military Service Pin to honour those who have sacrificed to serve our country. I am pleased to present the pin to members of the Commissionaires, who continue to provide valuable service in Canadian communities,” said the Lieutenant Governor.
Commissionaires South Saskatchewan provides security services at numerous commercial and government sites. The not-for-profit organization was founded to provide meaningful employment opportunities for former members of the Canadian Armed Forces and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
The Lieutenant Governor’s Military Service Pin honours current and former members of the Canadian Armed Forces (including Regular Force, Primary, and Supplementary Reserves, including the Canadian Rangers), and current and former members of police forces who have served in military operations. Applications for the pin may be made on-line at www.ltgov.sk.ca.
