Helping Students Secure Their Future Through Education
Applications for the Commissionaires National Bursary Program are now being accepted. The program helps Commissionaires employees and their immediate family members further their post-secondary education.
“We are thrilled to double the number of bursaries over last year’s launch,” said Captain (Ret’d) Harry Harsch, Chief of Staff, Commissionaires National Office. “We intend to build on this benefit to have an even greater impact on households.”
At $2,500 each, a total of ten bursaries are available for students enrolled in the 2023/24 academic year. The bursaries are part of Commissionaires’ commitment to supporting education in Canadian communities and are made possible with generous contributions from The Bank of Montreal, The Personal and Heroes Vacation Club.
“As a leading organization in the security industry, we recognize the importance of investing in education and nurturing talent,” said Dave Madeira, Chair, Commissionaires National Honours and Awards Committee. “By offering bursaries to students, we not only promote academic excellence but also contribute to the development of skilled professionals who will shape the future of our communities.”
The selection and administration of the bursaries are conducted by the Commissionaires National Honours and Awards Committee. Successful recipients will be notified by August 8, 2023, and funding will be sent to the educational institutions of the recipients by the end of August 2023.
Applications for students enrolled in eligible programs will be accepted online via commissionaires.ca/bursary until July 7, 2023.
