‘Tis the season for awards and recognition

We’re pleased to share that BGen (ret’d) Cliff Walker, CD, past chairman of South Saskatchewan Division, was awarded the Saskatchewan Order of Merit– a prestigious recognition of excellence, achievement and contributions to the social, cultural and economic well-being of the province and its residents, today, November 29.

In other celebratory news, award ceremonies were held in Regina on November 9. Her Honour Lieutenant Governor Vaughn Solomon Schofield presented a number of deserving recipients with the Governor General’s Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers, including three members of Commissionaires South Saskatchewan’s Board of Governors.

The Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers recognizes the exceptional volunteer achievements of Canadians in a wide range of fields. An official Canadian honour, the Medal acknowledges the sustained and unpaid contributions of dedicated volunteers.
