About the Current Position

Commissionaires South Saskatchewan is hiring a Part-time (Casual) Administrative Services Officer to support reception, customer service and quartermaster duties. The successful applicant will work on weekdays from 08:00 to 16:00 (when required), with flexibility as needed. The role reports to the Director of Business Development and Innovation. As an ambassador of Commissionaires South Saskatchewan, this role requires professionalism, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing excellent service to clients, customers, and Commissionaires.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage reception, including a multiline phone system, appointment scheduling and walk-in clients
  • Assist the Quartermaster with receiving clothing orders, maintaining inventory and issuing kit in line with current policy
  • Monitor incoming email and direct messages to the appropriate department or division
  • Maintain and order office stationery supplies
  • Balance the debit and credit machine at the end of each day
  • Receive all mail and package deliveries and prepare outgoing mail
  • Support the monthly licence renewal process
  • Participate in training seminars as required
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Diploma or certificate in a relevant field or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Strong customer service skills in person, by phone, and when assisting members and the public
  • Proficient with MS365 and able to learn new programs
  • Data entry experience with accuracy and consistency
  • Able to work cooperatively in a small office environment
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Practical problem-solving ability with attention to detail
  • Effective time management and comfort balancing multiple priorities
  • Professional appearance and conduct
  • Clear criminal background check
  • Background in law enforcement, military or security is an asset
