We are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst to work at our headquarters in person at our office in Ottawa, ON.
What you will be doing…
As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with various teams to identify business needs and provide solutions that align with organizational goals. You will be responsible for analyzing data, developing detailed requirements, and ensuring successful implementation of business strategies and projects.
Some of your responsibilities include…
- Conducting in-depth analysis of business operations to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains
- Developing detailed documentation of business requirements, workflows, and processes to ensure clarity and alignment
- Collaborating with stakeholders to design, propose, and implement innovative and effective solutions
- Monitoring project milestones, timelines, and deliverables to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives
- Providing comprehensive training, documentation, and ongoing support to teams on new tools, processes, or systems
- Acting as a liaison between technical teams and business units, facilitating clear communication and understanding of project requirements
- Evaluating and reporting on project outcomes to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals
- Performing root cause analysis to identify issues and recommend corrective actions for long-term solutions
- Preparing and presenting reports on operational performance and project outcomes to senior management
- Leading workshops or brainstorming sessions to identify innovative solutions to business challenges
- Researching and evaluating new tools, technologies, or methodologies to enhance business processes
- Organizing and leading stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and provide updates
- Collaborating with IT teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment of solutions
- Creating user acceptance testing (UAT) plans and facilitating the testing process to ensure successful project delivery

Your must-haves:
- A bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel (pivot tables, macros), SQL, and Power BI
- Knowledge of business process improvement techniques, including familiarity with methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
- Ability to assess software systems requirements and compatibility
- Exceptional documentation, reporting, and business modeling skills, including BPMN or UML expertise
- The ability to obtain a Secret-level security clearance
