About the current position:
Commissionaires South Saskatchewan is seeking a permanent, full-time Dispatch Officer in Regina. This role manages courier service requests, dispatches couriers, and supports courier invoicing, while monitoring City of Regina Bylaw Officers, mobile patrols, alarm responses, and lone worker safety from our monitoring centre at 122 Albert Street. Reporting to the Mobile Duty Manager, the Dispatch Officer provides excellent customer service and represents Commissionaires professionally to clients, visitors, and colleagues. The position operates Monday to Friday, from 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor GPS trackers, security cameras, shortwave radios, and Bylaw Enforcement vehicles in real time, tracking officer shifts, breaks, and enforcement actions.
- Receive and log radio check-ins from Bylaw Officers and lone workers, responding to “mayday” alerts and dispatching assistance or law enforcement as needed.
- Receive, assign, and track courier requests, and support daily invoice administration for courier clients.
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports of all mobile and enforcement activities, including special operational situations such as radio-silent inspections.
- Provide support to the mobile duty team, including compiling reports for leadership and clients, filing, and data entry during downtime.
- Complete and save end-of-shift logs, providing notes for the next dispatch officer.
- Perform other duties as assigned while representing Commissionaires professionally and ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience providing excellent client and customer service.
- Strong computer literacy, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as a team member in a professional office environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative and innovative thinkers with well-developed problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

The starting wage for the position will be $19.99/hour, with a grid of annual increases based on performance.
