We are seeking a detail-oriented security Field Services Coordinator to join our team. This office-based role ensures smooth field operations by coordinating security personnel, schedules, and resources. The ideal candidate is highly organized, a strong communicator, and able to handle multiple priorities efficiently.

What you will be doing…

As a security Field Services Coordinator, you will manage the scheduling, communication, and logistics for security field teams from our regional office. You’ll ensure smooth daily operations by coordinating assignments, addressing real-time issues, and maintain compliance records. Acting as the key liaison between field staff, management, and clients, you’ll help optimize efficiency and ensure high-quality security services. Your role will also involve supporting training efforts, handling administrative tasks, and troubleshooting operational challenges as they arise.

The incumbent is responsible to build, create and maintain schedule templates, as well as timecards for all short-term contracts in the company’s HRIS. They answer incoming emergency and non-emergency calls, prioritize calls as per urgency and requirement, coordinate all communications within specified territory, capture breakdown service information, answer inquiries and questions, handle complaints, troubleshoot problems, extract and analyze data to support investigative inquiries and client key performance indicators and receive and dispatch orders.

Some of your responsibilities include…

  • Locate, coordinate and assign field employees to fill book offs, staffing shortfalls and short-term contracts client contracts, adhering to policies and collective agreements as applicable
  • Book off and on the proper employee from the appropriate section/unit in database
  • Problem solve situations concerning no call-no-shows, double bookings, or other operational related concerns
  • Handle after-hour emergency inquiries, including book-offs and no-call no-shows
  • Process and assign new employees to entry level field positions
  • Monitor and support special events and action accordingly.  Plot and fill shifts that may be requested for special events/assignments
  • Authorize overtime to have shifts covered by employees
  • Build and maintain all schedule templates for respective sections
  • Assist with pay processing: Overtime, Reverse Overtime, Shift Approvals, Contract/Position Errors, Timesheets, etc.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to employees and Supervisors

You’re a good fit if…

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess experience in security operations, scheduling, or coordination
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service
  • Self-motivated, able to function with minimum supervision in a multi-faceted, high stress environment
  • Advanced organizational skills
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to think outside of the box and find creative solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Previous managerial experience considered an asset
  • Previous experience as a dispatcher / call center environment considered an asset
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience producing timesheets and schedules 

Your must-haves:

  • Intermediate-advanced computer skills
  • Basic understanding of requirements for special security events (i.e. crowd/traffic control, powers of arrest, Smart Serve and Liquor laws, etc.)
  • Experience working in the field of security special events or a strong knowledge and understanding of the requirements
  • Reliability security clearance (must hold or be able to obtain)
