POSITION: Multi-site Security Guard

LOCATIONS: Multiple government and commercial client sites (various locations within the region) in the Cobourg/Quinte/Kingston/Brockville/Cornwall area

POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Existing and anticipated vacancies

HOURS OF WORK:

  • Part-Time to Full-Time (variable)
  • Ability to accumulate 25 to 40 hours per week through assignments at multiple sites
  • Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays
  • Scheduling based on operational requirements and availability

RATE OF PAY: Wage Range: $19.50 to $24.00 dependent on site. Hourly rates vary by site, in accordance with client contracts and collective agreements (where applicable)
Employees may work at multiple sites with different assigned pay rates

JOB SUMMARY
The Multi-site Security Guard provides professional security services across a variety of government and commercial client sites. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible work hours and the opportunity to work in diverse environments while accumulating a consistent weekly schedule. Guards must be adaptable, reliable, and capable of working independently at different locations while maintaining high standards of professionalism, customer service, and security awareness.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance

REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE:
Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (minimum Reliability Status; higher levels may be required for some sites)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide access control, patrols, monitoring, and reporting as assigned per site
  • Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity
  • Enforce site-specific rules, regulations, and procedures
  • Respond appropriately to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
  • Complete accurate and timely reports and log entries
  • Interact professionally with clients, staff, and members of the public
  • Report hazards, safety concerns, or suspicious activity promptly
  • Work shifts at multiple locations as assigned by scheduling staff
  • Perform additional duties as required by supervisors or management

REQUIREMENTS To be eligible for consideration for this position, you must have the following qualifications:

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Reliability Security Clearance (or higher, depending on site)
  • Valid Emergency First Aid & CPR (Level C) with AED
  • Clean Criminal Record / CPIC check
  • Ability to stand or patrol for extended periods
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel between multiple sites
