We are currently recruiting for a Quartermaster Coordinator to work in person at our headquarters in Ottawa.

What you will be doing…

The incumbent oversees and handles the movement of inventory. This includes placing orders, receiving the deliveries, moving it from the back warehouse to the clothing store, and distributing them to our Commissionaires, including handling any returns. The incumbent also performs all other related duties and responsibilities, as required.

Some of your responsibilities include…

  • Maintain proper inventory levels in the warehouse, in a timely manner, to ensure that the operational demands of the Commissionaires-Ottawa Clothing Store are met
  • Control the movement of inventory between the warehouse and the clothing store
  • Perform timely monthly inventory counts and investigate any discrepancies
  • Maintain a record of spoiled, damaged, or written-off items
  • Prepare purchase orders, receive material from suppliers, and ensure quality assurance by verifying quantities and quality of products against purchase orders, packing slips and garment standards
  • Maintain relationships with various suppliers and resolve shortages, missed deliveries, and all other potential issues
  • Issue uniforms to security guards working at Commissionaires-Ottawa, handle returns and maintain records
  • Take measurements of the guards who may require assistance with sizing for their uniforms
  • Order the item(s) of clothing, assess, prepare, and approve alteration requests
  • Review and manage customer queries received by phone, email, and in person, and forward the request to the appropriate team member to resolve any issues

  • Have a strong proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office 

Your must-haves:

  • Successful completion of a diploma in Administration, or in a related field
  • At least 2 years of previous experience with inventory control, warehousing, or in a similar field
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Have, or able to obtain a Reliability security clearance
  • Speak, read & write fluently in English and French
