As part of our ever-expanding work force, we are looking for candidates to fulfill the role of: Cell Guard – RCMP Detachment, Swift Current
Position Summary
As a member of the Security team, your duties will include overseeing holding cells, ensuring the welfare of prisoners under police custody, and monitoring security cameras. You will be responsible for maintaining daily logs and reports, addressing emergency situations and conflicts, and enforcing site security protocols. Additionally, you will uphold site procedures and stay informed on safety standards to ensure a secure environment.
Requirements:
- Must be willing to work all hours/shifts.
- Must have lived in Canada for 5 years to qualify for required security clearances.
- Must successfully complete a Criminal Record Check (CRC) and reference check.
- Must be able to work in Saskatchewan.
- Attention to detail and professional approach in all areas of work and appearance.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in English.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Able to provide excellent customer service.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Computer experience, including effective working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and e-mail.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with accuracy.
- **Emergency First Aid/CPR.
- Experience in the security industry seen as an asset.
- Security Guard course preferred. May be opportunity to acquire through e-learning.
- Multiple language profiles seen as an asset.
Physical Demands:
- The employee may frequently be required to sit and use hands to manipulate office equipment including a computer keyboard and mouse.
- The employee may be required to stand for long periods of time.
** Successful interviewees that do not yet have this training and are considered for employment will be offered the opportunity to complete this training before they are assigned to a position.
