We are currently recruiting for an experienced Risk and Compliance Analyst to work full-time for our Commissionaires Ottawa headquarters, located at 24 Colonnade Road.

What you will be doing…

You will be responsible for conducting Threat and Risk Assessments (TRA’s), Physical Security Surveys/Site Reviews, Security Design Briefs and documentation for corporate and Government of Canada clients. You will identify, develop and execute research and analytical techniques to evaluate sensitive and complex information, which may have significant organizational, economical, political, military and national impacts/ ramifications. You will also act as an internal subject matter expert for the establishment of POST Orders, Site Assessment Reviews and compliance. 

Some of your responsibilities include…

  • Monitor, collect, research, analyze, coordinate and conduct briefs on security threats and non-technical risk issues that may affect the organization’s businesses and employees
  • Assess unforeseen developments and difficulties and recommend changes in both direction and approach
  • Research reference material to extract information contributing to threat and risk analysis or due diligence
  • Present threat and risk information to senior management and external organizations
  • Coordinate with and provide guidance to others involved in the research and collection of security information

Your must-haves:

  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field to conduct risk and compliance analyses
  • Must possess extensive knowledge of the HTRA Methodology (Possession of an HTRA certification considered a definite asset)
  • Must have a strong knowledge of the Policy on Government Security (PGS)
  • Must have a strong knowledge of Government of Canada Physical Security Guides
  • Must have a strong knowledge of physical security principles and practices in general
  • Must possess strong writing skills and the ability to complete and submit clear and concise TRA reports
  • Must have experience writing extensive reports
  • Must hold, or be able to obtain a Secret level Security Clearance
