THE ROLE
We are hiring for a part time at 9 Wing Gander.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Administer and monitor all alarms
- Monitoring the MP and Wing FM radios nets
- Answer all telephones in the dispatch area of the MP Security Control Centre
- Obtain information required to dispatch MP personnel
- Input calls for assistance into SAMPIS via TRC (Telephone Reporting Centre)
- Maintain Key Control and its related duties
- Action all message traffic and notify all appropriate addresses
- Issue room keys to transient personnel during silent hours to include receiving funds and issuing receipts
- Issuance of passes and retention of identification
- Completion of long term/short-term parking forms and holding of keys for vehicles parked during these periods
WHO WE’RE SEEKING
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Be professional, reliable and recognize the proper chain of command
- Police Certificate of Conduct
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Secret Security Clearance
- Driver’s License
- First Aid Emergency Level (1 Day)
- Fully Vaccinated
- Must have ability to complete: CSOC
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
The selected candidate will be professional and detail driven individual with a strong work ethic and “can do” attitude. Both physical and mental fitness is required. This often involves working in all types of environment conditions at varying times throughout the day or night.
Key qualifications and skills to be successful include but are not limited to:
- Mental alertness with ability to:
- React calmly, quickly, and appropriately in any crisis
- Concentrate and remain alert for up to 12 hours
- Demonstrate problem-solving and sound judgement
- Superior attention to detail with very good verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Computer literacy, and/or an aptitude to learn is an asset
