About the Role

Commissionaires Ottawa are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our Project Management Office (PMO) for a one-year term. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives on enterprise-level process improvement, stakeholder alignment, and strategic problem solving.

As a trusted advisor to leadership, you will lead requirements discovery, process optimization, and solution design for cross-departmental initiatives. You’ll help translate complex business challenges into practical, data-informed strategies that deliver measurable results and support the organization’s long-term goals.

What you will be doing…

• Lead business analysis and discovery sessions with senior leaders to define priorities and align initiatives to strategic objectives
• Translate business challenges into clear functional and non-functional requirements for technology and process solutions
• Facilitate enterprise-wide workshops to uncover process inefficiencies and design future-state workflows
• Evaluate solutions and vendor proposals to ensure technical feasibility, regulatory compliance, and cybersecurity alignment
• Conduct impact and ROI analyses to guide decision-making and investment priorities
• Support solution testing, change management, and stakeholder communications during implementation
• Act as a liaison between business and IT, ensuring shared understanding and accountability throughout the project lifecycle

Your must-haves:

• 10+ years of experience in business analysis or related roles, including leadership on enterprise initiatives
• Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline
• Proven experience in process improvement, requirement management, and stakeholder engagement
• Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL, and visualization or modeling software (e.g., BPMN, UML)
• Experience with both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
• Eligibility for Government of Canada Secret-level security clearance
