About the Current Position:
Commissionaires South Saskatchewan is hiring a part-time Training Coordinator to support the training department with a variety of administrative tasks. Working 24 hours per week, the schedule will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 08:00 to 16:00, with flexibility as needed. Reporting to the Training Manager, the Training Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of training activities. As an ambassador of Commissionaires South Saskatchewan, this role requires professionalism, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing excellent service to clients, customers, and Commissionaires.
Responsibilities:
- All procedures related to application for and course loading for the Ministry of Corrections and Policing Private Investigator Security Guard training, including but not limited to collection of fees, basic language testing and handing out manuals.
- Assist and advise on potential new courses and advertising strategies to promote enrollment.
- Be eligible and willing to take any/ all training courses related to becoming certified to teach a variety of Corps courses.
- Capable of facilitating/ instructing a variety of courses including, Private Investigator and Security Guard Course, First Aid, Use of Force, Leadership (supervisor Training Courses).
- Input and maintain the Training database and files.
- Maintain the department filing system to ensure availability of information when needed.
- Prepare the classroom and handouts for all courses.
- Prepare certificates for all Corps courses.
- In collaboration with the Training Manager, prepare training schedule for approval and distribution.
- In collaboration with the Training manager, be responsible for classroom instruction including facilitation, quizzing, testing, and feedback.
- In collaboration with the Training Manager, review, update, and modernize training standards, including interactive training with students and courses.
- Assist the Human Resources Department as required.
- Assuming other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proven expertise in facilitation, public speaking, classroom management and teaching and/or educating adults in a requirement.
- A Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers License.
- Experience planning, scheduling, and in-depth curriculum dissection, and application.
- Experience in the security industry seen as an asset.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and ability to adapt to and learn new software.
- Solid interpersonal skills with exceptional tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
- Function efficiently and effectively under very strict deadlines with the ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
- A background in law enforcement or military seen as an asset.
- Experience as an administrative assistant is considered an asset.
- Clear criminal background check and ability/ willingness to obtain a Secret Level RCMP Clearance. MUST have been in Canada for at least five years to qualify for this federal clearance.
