You will see us at municipal offices in Weyburn, the Polytechnique campus in Moose Jaw, patrolling the streets in Melville or at the front desk of our Legislature in the heart of Regina.

About the Current Positions:

Commissionaires South Saskatchewan is looking for 2 – 3 people interested in working in various security and bylaw positions in and around the Yorkton area. Depending on the role, hours may be part-time or fluctuate between full- and part-time. We are also looking for individuals interested in working specifically nights and weekends.

Qualifications:

Security or related law enforcement experience an asset.

Must have a clear Criminal Record check.

Must have a Class 5 Drivers licence and clear Drivers Abstract

Ability to remain calm and make sound judgments in high pressure situations.

Ability to work well under pressure and provide excellent customer service.

Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to deal with citizens and local officials on security or by-law issues in a professional manner.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Effective working knowledge of MS Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook

Duties:

• Knowledge of enforcement procedures and the ability to read, understand and interpret local bylaws and Provincial acts and regulations.
• Conduct business through professional and positive interaction with residents and building mutually respectful relationships.
• Maintain a detailed and accurate report of all activities, situations, occurrences and emergencies.
• Provide support to residents on issues concerning their personal safety, security, and the protection of their belongings.
• Maintain a high standard of dress and deportment.
• Security guard only: will require 40-hour Private Investigator & Security Guard course.
• Bylaw only: conduct mobile patrols of the cities, towns or villages of RM in a safe and respectful manner.
• Bylaw only: travel within local area in Commissionaire-supplied vehicle to interact with municipal and rural administrators and enforce local bylaws.
