All First Aid Instructors with the Training Academy are certified by the Canadian Red Cross. The instructor for the First Responder Training is a retired Advanced Care Paramedic with 31 years of experience with the City of Winnipeg Emergency Medical Services. The course teaches techniques for sustaining life, preventing further injuries, and caring for illnesses and injuries until the next level of medical personnel arrives. CPR level HCP and AED are included. Recertification is also available.
Course duration
This is a 40 hour course.
Recertification 20 hours and includes CPR Level HCP.
