National Bursary Program

The Canadian Corps of Commissionaires is committed to supporting and giving back to its employees.

The National Bursary Program assists employees and their dependents with the cost of post-secondary education. 10 x $2,500 bursaries are available for the 2026/27 academic year, which are made possible with the support of our partners, The Bank of Montreal and The Personal, and funding from our 14 Divisions.

Deadline for submissions: July 7, 2026

To be deemed eligible, applicants must:

  1. Be employed full or part-time as a commissionaire (having completed a minimum of six months of work and be employed at the time of the application) or
  2. Be a dependent of a qualifying commissionaire (spouse, child, stepchild, grandchild or step-grandchild)
  3. Have been accepted/ are enrolled into a Canadian, government-recognized, post-secondary institution (universities, colleges, and vocational schools where high school completion is the normal entrance prerequisite)
  4. Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
  5. Not be a previous recipient of the National Bursary Program
  6. Demonstrate financial need
  7. Provide a reference letter from a current or former teacher, faculty member or any other professional who is familiar with your work and character (max 500 words)

This educational bursary award is for one year and is not renewable. A successful Division-level bursary application does not preclude application for the National-level bursary. Unsuccessful applicants are encouraged to reapply in the following year.
