Step 1: Submit Application
To verify your identity, you have two options:
- TransUnion – Electronic Identity Verification (eIV): Applicants must answer four multiple-choice questions related to their banking history or recent financial activities. Questions may include details such as address history, banking or credit card information, and potentially their social insurance number. Timely and accurate responses are required within a specified timeframe to verify their credit file.

Step 2: Get Results Within 15 minutes
Criminal Record Checks are typically processed within 15 minutes between 8am and 4pm EST Monday to Friday, excluding holidays.
Once processed, you will receive your results by email. Your report includes a document integrity verification feature that allows employers to confirm that your certificate has not been tampered with or altered.
If a name and date of birth check matches another individual after you complete your online application, fingerprints will be required.

RCMP policy states that a Vulnerable Sector Search must be conducted by the local police agency of jurisdiction where you reside.
